Discovering My Passion
As a graduate with a B.S. in Journalism, I found myself writing a newsletter at a manufacturing plant as an HR Generalist. That morphed into a certification in Interaction Management teaching business skills to the plant supervisors.
Computers began to appear around offices in the early '90s. My co-workers quickly realized that I could help with their new computers. There I discovered my passion.
This image shows me in about 1994 working for a small mom & pop computer shop. Whatever they sold and set up, I would learn and teach it. That included Lotus 123, Word Perfect and finally, we moved from DOS to Windows!
Training the Trainer
Experienced Contract, Corporate & Adjunct
I advanced to an international training organization in 1995. As new software was released, I would learn it and teach it. This included early versions of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I developed a meticulous process when studying new products and educating myself. I want to know the answers to your questions BEFORE you ask me!
My experience includes a wide range of corporate training with many different software products and versions, as well as five years as an adjunct instructor at the local community college.

Doing it My Way!
I launched Monroe Services LLC in 2017, and I operate under the name Dawn Monroe Training.
My preference is to teach customized content to corporate groups and individuals. I prefer shorter, micro-learning sessions tailored to your needs rather than following lengthy, technical, step-by-step manuals. But for those that prefer that traditional training model, I am happy to oblige.
Since the pandemic, many of my classes are offered virtually or hybrid, which has become the norm, but I have been teaching simultaneously in-person and online for many years. This is an area where EXPERIENCE counts.
